This is a workbook.

Warning! This is only a workbook.
For some reason, I thought this was a book with sturdy cover and sturdy pages with some sort of protective coating etc. I though this book was supposed to be used and re-used with a very little one in order to trace over the dotted lines with their fingers..... thus slowly teaching them the coordination skills necessary to complete drawing, writing, and other pre-school assignments. HOWEVER, this is just an ordinary workbook with a handle cut through it so I am disappointed.
Yes the pages are a little sturdier than many other workbook options (though similar to BrainQuest workbooks).... but it has very few pages in it... and the cover is flimsy. It will not hold up with a little one especially with perforated pages.
The child is to draw over dotted lines that get more difficult as the book progresses and then at the end are to draw objects for themselves. I found the practice section to be a bit harder than expected for a very little one and the drawing on their own seemed like such a sudden jump given the rest of the book....
The images inside the book are similar to the three shown on the front cover. So nothing that unique or special.
Overall, this book is not what I wanted. I was not going for a wipe off style, but I also did not want a workbook.... I was looking for something in the middle.

Not the wipe-off version

I love the dot-to-dot books (and so does my almost 3yr old). I gave this one four stars because it is a paper book and not dry-erase. The wipe-off versions, which I thought I was purchasing, are so much better for longevity. We completed this book way too quickly for the price! She still loved it though and I think it's a great learning tool.
