About the Author
Roger Priddy left school at 16 with just one qualification―in art. He went to Berkshire College of Art and Design and trained as an illustrator. His first job in children's books was working with the publisher Peter Usborne, at Usborne Publishing, and then he worked with Peter Kindersley at Dorling Kindersley, where he spent 16 years. Priddy became Creative Director of DK's Children's Division and was Managing Director of the children's mass market publisher Funfax when it was acquired by DK.
In 2000, he created Priddy Books with John Sargent at St Martin's Press to create innovative and imaginative titles for children, from first books for babies through early reference titles for older children. Since then, over 30 million copies of Roger's 200 plus books have sold worldwide, with five of his books―My Big Animal, My Big Truck, Happy Baby Words, Happy Baby Colors and Puppy and Friends―each selling over one million copies. He is also the author of Big Board First 100 Words; Big Board Books Colors, ABC, Numbers; and Bright Baby Noisy Monsters. His creativity has been recognized with numerous industry awards. Priddy lives in London with his wife Zena and their four children.

Fun for Young Children

My son is 17 months old and he loves this book. I showed it to him a few months ago at Easter time and it became one of his favorites. He loves to slide the windows back and forth and look at the pictures. It is a very simple book. There are only 4 sets of pages (8 total). On each of the left pages there are pictures of different easter related things(bunny, easter egg, flower, ect). Each pair of pages has a different task. The first is match the close up picture to the picture on the left. The second is match the color to the flower. The next is about counting and the last is matching baby animals to their mothers. Each of the right pages has four questions written on sliders covering the answers. The fist pair of pages is very simple and it seems that they increase slightly in difficulty as they go. I think this book would probably only interest children between the ages of one 1 and 3 or 4. Once my son gets older I will probably put the book away and only take it out for Easter. It most likely wouldn't be very interesting for him when he is older if he has all the answers memorized.

It's All Right, We Have Better Slide and Find Books Though

This book is all right. I bought it for my daughter's Easter basket this year. I don't like that there are only 4 activity pages total, wish there were more. The illustrations and pictures don't seem to hold my toddler's attention in the same way as our other Slide and Find books. It's an okay addition to our library. If you're looking for a really awesome slide and find book, we love The Best Ever Book of Touch and Feel Animals. My daughter can't get enough of it! It's a slide and find, but it also incorporates different textures to touch and fun interactive moving features. Covers all kind of animals too, from pets to wild to aquatic and bugs. Looking back, I'd now go with another Easter book and stick with the animal slide and find we like better over purchasing this book.

Loves the sliding doors!

We had a few of these books that I bought many years ago when my niece and nephew were toddlers. When my son came along, he loved playing with them, so I decided to purchase this book to put in his Easter basket. He loves it! The sliding doors work much better with this newer book than they did with the other two books I had. He can easily slide them back and forth and he carries the book around constantly. So much so that occasionally mommy "hides" the book just to give myself a break from it!
