He wrote several novels, including Molloy, Malone Dies, and The Unnamable, and a number of poems and short stories. Though he experimented with literary forms, his works are within the 20th century intellectual tradition of alienation, isolation, and pessimism.

The Anthology of minor essays

I found few major essays on Beckett's works in this book. Therefore, this book cannot do any help to the readers who is interested in Beckett's works. I think any books titled such as "critical response to . . ." should contain many, almost complete essays concerning the problem, as the aim of such a book is to collect many essays and show the complehensive response for the work. However, this book has only a few, less important articles. This is a miserable situation.
